By unanimous vote, members of the Newton County Board of Education approved the proposed 2019-2020 school calendar at its September 18 meeting. Next year’s school calendar includes the following dates of interest:
- First Day of School August 1, 2019
- Fall Break October 7-11, 2019
- Thanksgiving Break November 25-29, 2019
- Winter Holiday Break December 23, 2019-January 3, 2020
- Mid-Winter Break/Bad Weather Makeup Days February 14, 17, & 18, 2020
- Spring Break April 6-10, 2020
- Last Day of School May 22, 2020
