Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program
Georgia provides an alternative route for certification as a teacher. The Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (TAPP) is designed to develop quality teachers for Georgia's classrooms. It offers non-education majors, who hold at least a bachelor's degree in the area for which the professional certificate may be issued, the opportunity to be trained as educators. Upon completion of the program, the participant will be eligible for clear renewable certification in the State of Georgia. Newton County Schools participate in GATAPP through the Griffin Regional Education Service Agency. Please visit the Griffin RESA for additional information.
Visit the Griffin RESA website for their helpful information on the TAPP Program.
