Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has announced that all Georgia public schools must remain closed through Friday, April 24. As a result, Newton County School System’s tentative reopen date is Monday, April 27. Governor Kemp has stated that he will make a decision regarding the remainder of the school year prior to the reopen date.
