The Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP) fulfills the need for a plan from LEAs to be collected by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to define how the LEAs will support their students when accepting federal funds under The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015.
Georgia's local education agencies (LEAs) have the flexibility to submit a streamlined LEA consolidated plan (S-CLIP) under Section 8305 that requires information that is absolutely necessary. In using this option, the Newton County Schools reviews and evaluates progress from the FY 24 S-CLIP, if applicable, and completes and submits an updated FY 25 S-CLIP, which also includes the following:
Newton County Schools encourages stakeholder (student, parent/guardian, faculty, staff, community member, etc.) input and comments at any time regarding the Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP). All stakeholder feedback will be used to revise the current policy for the next school year.
