Newton County Schools Announces Graduation Ceremony Parking and Shuttle Information
Newton County Schools is pleased to announce graduation ceremony parking and shuttle information for the Class of 2024 commencement ceremonies at Sharp Stadium.
Limited Parking Available at Stadium: Parking at Sharp Stadium will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Free Off-Site Parking with Shuttle Service: To accommodate the large number of guests expected, NCS is offering free off-site parking with shuttle service to Sharp Stadium. These locations include:
• Newton County Public Parking Deck (1166 Elm Street)
• Covington Professional Park (4136 U.S. Highway 278)
• Legion Field (3173 Mill Street NE)
Shuttle Information:
• Shuttles will begin operating at 6:15 pm on graduation evenings.
• Shuttles will pick up guests at designated off-site parking locations and drop them off at Sharp Stadium.
• Following the ceremony, shuttles will be available to transport guests back to their vehicles.
Additional Parking Options: Free parking is also available within walking distance of the stadium at the former Sharp Learning Center and the Board of Education building parking lots. Please note that shuttle service is not available for these close-by parking options.
Early Arrival Recommended: NCS encourages guests to arrive early to allow ample time for parking and to make their way to the stadium.
