Academy of Liberal Arts at Newton High School Accepting Applications for 2022-2023 School Year
The Academy of Liberal Arts at Newton High School (ALANHS) will begin accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year. Newton County School System students currently enrolled in eighth grade, whose parents reside in Newton County, are eligible to apply.
The Academy of Liberal Arts at Newton High School is an intense four-year academic experience that prepares students for the rigors of university studies. It is distinguished from other academic programs by providing participating students with a rigorous, accelerated curriculum, sustained community involvement, and emphasis on focusing on liberal arts pathways (i.e. social science, language arts, performing arts [band, chorus, dance, theatre], visual arts [i.e. sculpting, drawing]).

March 4, 2022 is the deadline to complete and submit ALANHS Applications. Prospective students will be contacted via email with information about ALANHS interviews, which are held on March 12, 2022.The total number of students being accepted into the 2022-2023 ALANHS Cohort is limited to 56. Finalists will be notified on April 15, 2022, and must confirm acceptance no later than April 22, 2022 at 3:00p.m..
